The Dallas Film Crew, in conjunction with Carpe Diem Pictures is thrilled to be hosting Jake Macapagal. The lead actor in the award winning independent film Metro Manila
Jake Macapagal will Be sharing how the film got into Sundance, his experience, and how the film was produced.




British Independent Film Award nominee Jake Macapagal has showcased his
acting mettle in a wide array of projects varying from local leading roles
("Next to Normal," "A Little Night Music," "West Side Story", "Aspects ofLove", "Hedwig and the Angry Inch").

International productions of "Miss Saigon" (Germany and UK), "RENT", "Elegies for Angels,Punks and Raging Queens" and "Nagraland", as well as Manila productions of "Les Miserables", "My Fair Lady", "Jack and the Beanstalk", "Cabaret", "Falsettos", "Cats", "Peter Pan", "Once On This Island", Goethe Institute's "Slipped Disc".

A lover of his craft, Jake has taken his talents off the stage and onto the screen for independent cinema gems such as Chateau de Rozesu, Foster Child, Kid Kulafu, Compound and Posas and most recently the award winning BAFTA nominated film "Metro Manila" from ® Academy nominated British filmmaker, Sean Ellis. His performance has earned Jake international critical acclaim and
was cast for the second season of HBO Asia's Original series "Halfworlds".

Jake trained with Hollywood-renowned combat coordinator Kyle Rowling in Australia, teaches at the Theatre Arts Department of Meridian International College and directed a University staging of HAIR. He holds a certificate from the National Institute of Dramatic Art for attending the Winter Actors Studio 2010 in Sydney.
